Greenbank Environmental is the largest independent trader and creator of Renewable Energy Certificates and other environmental credits in Australia.
Greenbank is a family owned business employing 23 people in Melbourne and Sydney and has been operating since March 2003 – over 10 years across the five domestic environmental markets, including the NSW and Victorian state based Energy Efficiency markets as well as the Renewable Energy Target and national and international carbon markets.
Greenbank are members of various industry associations, in respect of energy efficiency, we are active members of the: Energy Efficiency Council; and the Clean Energy Council.
Greenbank is “accredited” to create and trade environmental certificates through the:
• Clean Energy Regulator to create Renewable Energy Certificates under the Renewable Energy Target;
• Clean Energy Regulator to create Australian Carbon Credit Units under the Carbon Farming Initiative;
• Essential Services Commission to create Victorian Energy Efficiency Certificates under the Victorian Energy Efficiency Target; and
• Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal in NSW to create Energy Savings Certificates (ESCs) under the NSW Energy Efficiency Scheme.
Greenbank is the holder of an Australian Financial Services License to provide financial product advice, deal in the financial product and make a market, in respect of carbon.
